FAQs

Q?

Don’t worry! Be happy!

A.

We’re parents too, and we know that leaving your children with someone else for the first time can be a little stressful. Rest assured, we’ve taken absolutely every precaution to make sure that your kids are healthy and safe, and that you have full transparency with how your child is being cared for.

Q?

What if my kid needs me, how will you let me know?

A.

PlayBurg uses a combination of remote buzzers and mobile phones to communicate with parents and caregivers. When it’s time to pick up your child or for non-urgent matters we will simply set off your buzzer. In the event of an urgent matter, we will make every effort to reach you on your mobile device.

Q?

What if there is a power outage or some other sort of emergency?

A.

In the event of any sort of emergency, we will follow policies and procedures provided by the mall's Property Management team. Full details are available at PlayBurg’s front desk.

Q?

Can I trust your staff?

A.

There are certain certifications childcare businesses need to have by law. PlayBurg does not believe in the bare minimum. We go above and beyond with additional training and certification. Our staff has Early Childhood Education certifications, criminal background checks, up-to-date first aid training, and professional experience in childcare.  In addition, cameras are installed in every area of PlayBurg covering every area of concern.

Q?

What if I need to extend my hours?

A.

Parents and caregivers must return to PlayBurg to extend hours. This gives the opportunity to provide food or washroom breaks so that children will remain comfortable while learning and playing.

Q?

Can someone else pick up my kid?

A.

Yes, but this must be arranged in advance. Identification and contact details for all individuals picking up or dropping off children must be presented before the child is allowed to participate.

Q?

How old does my child have to be to leave them alone with PlayBurg?

A.

Children 3 years old or younger are not permitted to stay in PlayBurg without parents or caregivers. They are simply too young and dependant on those they know and trust. Children from age 4-10 are encouraged to spend a few hours with us.
